Our Vyse Street workshop is where movements are cased, dials aligned and every watch regulated before it leaves Birmingham.

Assembly

From movement to finished watch

Each Ashford Timeworks watch passes through a defined assembly process. Movements are inspected, cased under controlled conditions and paired with dials and hands checked for alignment.

  • Movement inspectionEvery calibre is checked for amplitude, beat error and power reserve before casing.
  • Controlled casingDust-free environment, correct gaskets and torque-checked case screws.
  • Dial and hand fittingIndices, hands and date wheels aligned and tested for clearance.
Process

Three stages of regulation

Initial timing

Each watch is placed on a timing machine and adjusted to within chronometer tolerance before further testing.

48-hour run

Watches run for a minimum of 48 hours in multiple positions to confirm stable rate and amplitude.

Final inspection

Water resistance, crown function, bezel action and aesthetic finish checked before serial number assignment.
