Assembly
From movement to finished watch
Each Ashford Timeworks watch passes through a defined assembly process. Movements are inspected, cased under controlled conditions and paired with dials and hands checked for alignment.
- Movement inspectionEvery calibre is checked for amplitude, beat error and power reserve before casing.
- Controlled casingDust-free environment, correct gaskets and torque-checked case screws.
- Dial and hand fittingIndices, hands and date wheels aligned and tested for clearance.
Process
Three stages of regulation
Initial timing
Each watch is placed on a timing machine and adjusted to within chronometer tolerance before further testing.
48-hour run
Watches run for a minimum of 48 hours in multiple positions to confirm stable rate and amplitude.
Final inspection
Water resistance, crown function, bezel action and aesthetic finish checked before serial number assignment.
